Sixty-eight years on, the founder's grandson runs a textile export house with warehouses in Karachi and a trading office in Deira. The business now supplies denim and cotton blends to buyers across four countries, a scale the founder himself never imagined from behind his first stall.
"We were never taught to keep the ledger closed. My grandfather said a Memon's business is only as good as the family who inherits it."
Over 500 families attended the reunion at the historic Memon Hall this weekend.
